Welcome to the site of the Casa della  Malia Bergamasco

It all started in 1998 with the arrival of Lia dell'Albera. After a brief correspondence with Maria Andreoli in Vercelli, I find myself in Italy where she takes me to her home where she lives with about 40 Bergamasco's. From young to old, males, females, various colors and beautiful coats dancing, this is great! In a comfortable atmosphere and welcomed by them all. Completely impressed I walk between the crowd of dogs when I arrive in the home where I find even more Bergamasco's. At this moment a dream was born, a future with Bergamasco.

Lia is over 12 years old and her half-sister Maia is 11. After many years living together, they taught me what it is like to live with Bergamasco's. Their intelligence and friendship are unique and very special.

It is time to change the dream into reality. The search for a puppy in this century is much easier than before. I found a Swedish breeder through the internet, this breeder appeared to have puppies at the time. I could not wait any longer and decided to go for her (Maria Andreoli), and see what she was all about.

The years following Miep came to live with us and from the first moment we felt like we all belonged. Her grandfather is the father of both Maia and Lia, which is a nice gesture. Vera followed the year after, considering Miep being a puppy and at the same time Maia and Lia aging, it was good for Miep to have someone to play with. Vera is a true world traveler considering I got her from New York. Vera stole the hearts of all the flight attendants and other passengers, I cannot even count the amount of cuddles she got over the 10 hour flight.
